Hello I'm new to this what else do I  need if anything? I have the dps program I have not used it any  help would be greatly appreciated. 

Are they run same engine? Did you have picture of modules (specifically from labels)? 

Same motor as size 5.3 the truck ran great then he was in the dash and I believe the radio got disconnected then plugged back in and now I think the security is on the truck turns over but no spark or info on his snap on scanner. I'm going to hook up my laptop that has tech2 and global .

Okay I hooked up tech 2 and it reads nothing under option it has write to rom 0036458 when I go on DPS the only thing I can do is with security and key program????

Issue is where you mot understanding anything look like. Key writting is writting in eeprom. 

This stuff is Chinese to me I had a class when I was in my 20ties and I should have stayed with it I'm in my early 50's and trying to do this again. but I did hook up my laptop to a 2010 gm and had the same problem with the tech 2 software  but the vehicle is up and running I thank you for your response and sorry for my slow return to you
