Hello. Does anyone know if there is another way to activate factory navigation other than buying the $650 OBDGENIE? 2020 Chev Silverado with IOS RPO code. I see the SD cards on amazon but need to activate 1st. Thanks in advance!

I haven't worked on anything that new but my guess is that it's changing one of your calibrations (or a flag in a calibration) to enable it.  I can turn it off and on with the HMI 2.5's if they have it already.  I can't add it to a non-nav though on the HMI 2.5 because the maps in those cases are actually in the unit itself on the EMMC.  And it's missing the entire antenna port lol.  Do you have an MDI?

The Cardaq3 does state it does J2534 support, which is what the MDI does.  It's possible you can get the calibrations from a NAV model and swap it with your non-NAV.  It's late here tonight but maybe tomorrow I'll see if I can find some calibrations maybe.  You'd need the GM DPS software, obviously a laptop (or computer close to the vehicle - unless cardaq3 does wifi) and the adapter.

From harman info 3 systems, its impossible make changes into the calibations. Goes signed by GM. But, is possible load any calibration of any car uses that system, and it works. (there are more modules with signed calibrations.)

I think if @garman find a similar vehicle VIN with nav integrated, and load the correct calibration, enables the integrated nav.

You need also the SD card and the SD/usb receptacle for your vehicle

Thank you for the info! Very helpful. OBDGENIE must have the correct files to load using their little OBD programmer. Really appreciate the help. Now to find those files.
