DPS Archive tool

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I'm considering purchasing the DPS Archive tool and have a few questions. If I have the correct files from SPS, do I simply run the tool to generate the archive? Once done, is it a matter of selecting the appropriate ECU address and diagnostic pin, then choosing the generated archive to program without any errors?

Regarding the "populate VIT" option, when would be the right time to use it? Is it necessary to select it if I've already created the archive using the tool?

I'd appreciate any insights or advice you might have on this. Thanks!

Hi, creating DPS archive files is easier with the archive creator tool, as shown in the video below. I am unfamiliar with the purpose of the VIT for programming Global-A modules using DPS.
