hello, have a used 2012 camaro radio i need to get working. part number 22976137. is there a vin change vile available for radio? do i need to also change the  hmi module vin? thanks 

Hi, can you post photos of the radio showing the label stickers and the connection ports? 

I don't think I have a solution for that radio. 

Does this radio also use the HMI module?

This radio is similar to cd400 of astra j maybe the files for unlock that, can unlock it.

Looking at print for the car I dont see one, but I dont trust the print with so many radio options.

I can make changes with a software that I use myself with a remote connection 

tried both files. on the bench. cd500 file didnt change vin. the nav file erased the vin. its blank in GDS2. wrote with DPS still no vin. wrote with SPS still no vin. just blank. will it write when i put it in the car maybe?

After mounting on the car, do sps again and vin will write

Was the BCM connected when using the files? The radio learns the VIN that's stored in the BCM.

No, no BCM. working on that now. need to change the vin in the one I have.

change in eeprom 🙂 at least in BCM is dead easy

Installed in car. Immediately came on and worked perfectly. Checked in GDS2 and vin was automatically applied to the radio without any further action than plugging it into car. Checked and had current code for communication. Ran GDS2 function to reset faceplate. Code went to history. Functions as should. This was a salvage yard radio that had the above Navi file ran which deleted vin. Programmed with SPS on the bench to vin number but vin was blank. Then installed. Thanks Troy.
