BCM Opel Insignia

Featured Replies

Hallo an alle,

not likely to be possible to use diesel BCM, as may have differences. As well about icons is configuration and operational software. So if they work but not display is depend of IPC as modules control

can u try use even translator, as most of here people not speak German. With all respect! I will not spend time translating and try to understand what you need

Hello everyone,

I'm new here but your forum seems to be the right people for me :)
Since my English is very bad...I'll try German first.
I was able to read a few things here in the forum
I drive a 2014 Insignia SW and I swapped the HMI2.0 to 2.5... everything works so far.
Now I have retrofitted a front camera and a tire pressure monitor. Everything is wired, only the calibration is missing.

My 2014 IPC apparently needs an update to the 2017 version for the tire pressure display so that the appropriate page can be displayed???? (Speedometer, all other pages are activated)
The front camera comes from a third-party vehicle and I think it needs an adjustment so that the high beam assistant works again and I would like sign recognition, lane departure warning and following distance
Everything is wired, switches are installed and very rarely does the camera “accidentally” recognize a sign.
Unfortunately, the Hmi 2.5 doesn't give me any sound via Androidauto...but apparently the radio module still needs to be adjusted???

Regardless of everyone else, I still have a very nervous problem:
The radio often loses the sound and then it usually crashes... the stored radio stations disappear and it only lasts for 1-6 days. Sometimes it helps to change the source.
The HMI2.0, radio module and Bose power amplifier were replaced via Opel and I later replaced the HMI2.5. Unfortunately the error remains.... (Navi and the other pages can still be operated)

Many greetings and thanks

Hello,

First of all, do you a J2534 scan tool to be able to use with GDS2 and DPS?

This is essential. Without a correct link to car systems any further assistance would be useless, as you would not be able to perform any actions..

No, not yet... I still have an OP-com clone, but it certainly doesn't work...
but you can apparently buy them for as little as €100

I can't download the IPC calibrations but if you get them for me, I can turn TPMS on at least for you.

I can help with calibrations, but need VIN for target vehicle 🙂 @codebuilder I think him mention have only opcom currently, so not sure how will work out

Hello,
If I understand this correctly...
I would have to make a donation of 60€ so that I can download the IPC update file and Codebuilder will then adapt it accordingly.

And Ljubomir Krastanow would create the calibration for my front camera / HMI 2.5. Which of course I can only download with a monthly subscription.

And I need a J2534 scanner to be able to insert the whole thing at the end using a laptop and a USB stick??

Sorry for the many questions, once I understand the principle I'll be able to do a lot 😉

could I also simply send my HMI2.5 by post?
I could temporarily install 2.0 again...

No, it's enough to donate just once to access to free files for a month and be allowed to download attached files from forum posts.

But let's better wait and hear from this site's owner Troy, what is his policy regarding that.

As for updates, it generally goes in the following order - 1) update by USB drive; 2) upload cal. files (via DPS or with SPS2 - need J2534 starting from this step); 3) upload XML file.

You should post your VIN, and if possible vehicle scan log from GDS2 - because sometimes it is important to know hardware version (part number) of installed control unit in the vehicle.

Hello is it possible to change the BCM from a diesel vehicle to a gasoline vehicle.

Can this then be learned via SPS?

Background of the question is that I would like to install a BCM from a younger year. Most of the I find but are from diesel vehicles

Because I have the following problem

I have installed a new IPC in my Insignia 2012. My coder was also able to learn and set up everything. It works, but a few things do not work.

My lane keeping assistant symbol is no longer displayed, although it works. I no longer get the distance graphic from the collision assistant displayed. I can set it and it also gives a warning if I am driving too close. But the graphic is absent. And I always get this error even though there is no error in memory. Can anyone help me with this?

My coder thinks it is because of the old BCM

For this purpose - yes.

But, as it was discovered in another thread on this forum - this tool can encounter a bug and brick when programming certain module(-s) on newer vehicles/platforms. So it's not very future-proved.

not likely to be possible to use diesel BCM, as may have differences. As well about icons is configuration and operational software. So if they work but not display is depend of IPC as modules control these is working, but when try to sent signals/information to speedo, speedo not receive correct data to display them.

Okay and can I now solve the problem somehow or can someone help me with this?

will wait few days if someone here can do it. If no one is available will contact my developer if can write custon firmware and if actually is possible all to work as before. Bear in mind if him can do, will be not for free, but price will be discussed prior any job to be started.

can you recommend another cheap one?
I wouldn't like to spend a lot of money if it doesn't work in the end...

Somehow two threads are mixed up here??? Or do I have a display error????

i think you need put the XML options of your original speedo in the UHS xml. maybe this helps to configure the speedo correctly.

things that happen when you install an instrument panel in a car that did not originally come with it. Works, yes, but maybe need change calibrations, xml config to work properly.

Thank you 🙂

@Arbe_gtc

I will see if I still have the old XML somewhere

@Lyubomir Krastanov

Me there unfortunately a mistake with the VIN made

This is the correct WOLGT8ED3C1099877

@Arbe_gtc

I have now tried a little but it does not work with the XML file. The problem remains.

I would like to accept the offer from @Lyubomir Krastanov. Just need to know what his developer wants for it 🙂
