Speech recognition issue

Hello,

I will make a quick start on the topic, I will be posting the calibrations details soon when I have a better chance.

I was trying to program the Opel calibration to USA HMI which I've bought for testing which everything's working fine apart from the speech recognition which is unable to respond when I press the call button for speech recognition which the error message shown "Selected language does not support Speech Recognition" at that point, English was selected.

So I've decided to use Europe HMI to re flash a same calibration and it works fine.  So I suspect that USA HMI hardware might be bit more complex.

When I've decided to get the buick regal calibration to re flash, the message did goes away and it works. However, the mic is not responding as this is likely due to the onstar that is not available in my vehicle and the buick regal calibration have got onstar UE1 in it. I am currently trying to find buick regal calibration without UE1 but no luck so far.

Have anyone else ever came across this issue and what solution did you done to fix it?

I am looking forward to hear back from you people.

Thanks

Interesting, I've tried a USA chervolt software and it still doesn't do voice recognition, are I missing the USA software for A11 radio as well? A challenge with USA one is I'd need one that doesn't h

The A11 radio should be on the latest software update as far as I am aware, I will double check on it. I don't have USA calibration yet to test.

EU control buttons is controlled by A11 radio. So require soecific calibrations for HMI2.0 or 2.5 to make it work. If not have correct calibrations - button for speech recognition not appear to work

I had got some more time on this.

Interesting that I've bought another HMI (Programmed before delivered) and the radio A11 calibration is actually on the latest software update(Both USB and programming).

When I've put another HMI (A) in, the speech recognition works fine. So A11 radio actually was fine, but when I changed it back to original HMI (B), speech recognition doesn't work. I even tried program HMI (B) software with HMI (A) software (Cal 2 to 12). I can't see to get the operational software to program (USB file transfer)

To help with calibration.

Differences between A and B is OnStar. And is important for Speech recognition due Microphone on A is routed to radio, on B with OnStar is routed through Telematic module.

Are you able to confirm this? I can see that there’s no onstar options on both HMI.

the european firmware dont have the US voice recognition, and the US firmware dont have the european voice recognition.

Because this, if you load a US calibrations in a EU module, the voice recognition not works, (or load EU calibrations in a US module the same happens.)

im trying this in a harman info3 US with european cals and not works...

Now.... how to load EU voice recognition in a US hardware?? or how to change the firmware? maybe editing the mnf and smd files of the firmware upgrade...

Failing that, I will try to change firmware.

Confirm thin, and you will not see OnStar calibration in HMI, is tied in other one, but still is dependant. If you want to have fully operational hmi in A need correct calibrations for hmi and radio.
