I own a 2018 Buick Regal TourX, the American version of the Opel Insignia B Country Tourer.  Because of US regulations, these cars were never offered with the Intellilux matrix LED system featured on Insignia Bs, nor were they offered with traffic sign reading which was available on Insignia Bs.

 

That being said, my research indicates that all the hardware necessary to activate these features exists on most TourX's equipped with LED headlights and front camera modules, and the only thing required to activate these features would be the appropriate calibrations.

 

I have attempted to source these calibrations using VINs of scrapped cars, but apparently none have the correct mix of features which will work with my vehicle - TourX's had left-hand drive lighting activated and did not have real-time suspension damping, which is problematic to find in Insignia Bs.

 

Anyone have a calibration or DPS archive that might help me here?  Anything I'm missing, perhaps?

Well, yes and no. 

 

For the longform, I'll direct you here. That should give you some sense of the progress and steps needed, as well as the needed files. 

 

The TL;dr:

 

Traffic sign recognition works as designed, and all you need  to activate it on the TourX is proper programming of the front camera module and the instrument cluster. 

 

The Intellilux system is a harder nut to crack, as it appears to require BCM and headlamp module programming in addition to the above. In addition, GM deleted the wire which appears to transmit the on-off command from the wiring harness in the BCM. With the help of this community, I believe the programming side might be solved, and the parts necessary to connect the wire are at least ordered.
