I just encountered a problem when programming K124 active safety control module. It says this module did not return a 5-Byte seed. What does this exactly mean?

Means the ecu either a 2-Byte seed or 12-Byte seed and you are using a file meant for 5-Byte seed

Thank you, but I did check the fitment list, this part number fits the car. The calibration file was obtained from SPS.

But ASCM returns 2 bite SEED. Could you share PN of ASCM and your VIN

 

... I doublechecked ASCM for Escalade MY16 and it has 2byte SEED too (for example)

well I just fixed this issue by using utility file from earlier MY SPS data.
