  • Update: Thanks to Troy's instructions, I added some codes about gear display in CT6's configuration file. Now I get all the functions I need in this IPC

That error is related to the dps archive you’re programming. It could be 1 of many things. Maybe the file is not compatible with your IPC.

That make sense, the gauge was not originally designed for my car, I modified the calibration files a lot to make it work.

Send utility file and dps error log, I could check and see which number calibration file is causing error.

Thank you, Troy. I swapped 23393934 file with 84645328 to eliminate some fault messages.

From checking. The programming stoped at step 42 there is 47 steps coded in that utility file. After step 42 there was only some instructions for delay and reboot. All the calibration files were programmed successfully. So generally the modules was successfully programmed and should work, the error you're getting shouldn't affect the IPC.

What error are you getting on the IPC after programming this file?

Well, basically  it works fine except for not showing current gear during driving, probably because the dashboard was designed for another model with 10-speed transmission. I‘m considering replacing the  transmission calibration file with an 8-speed one.

Thanks again, Troy.  But I already applied the corresponding XML to this IPC. Technically this shouldn't happen, there are only some codes about manual transmission in XML file and I never activate these functions. I also tried CTS-V's calibrations, it can show the current gear but the coolant temperature display is abnormal😂

Try getting xml RPO codes for other CTS car that has similar specs as your car.
I had similar issue when I tried to install a 2019 new shape insignia IPC into an old shape 2015 car. The three letter RPO codes were different for the new shape car. Example: FHP would activate automatic transmission in the old shape IPC but FHP wouldn’t activate automatic transmission in the new shape IPC. GM does change the RPO code lettering between cars.
