Yes, that's correct.

Here is the list of all the GM ECU IDs

It is 5 byte seed! Just tested on an Equinox. Would the VIN change file work for both Malibu and Equinox provided they are all 5-bytes? Thanks much!

  • Which car is it? Can you pm me the vin number?

  • I don’t know as this file was created for insignia Buick Regal. If the files doesn’t work and you can provide the utility file for that module I can create a dps vin file of it.

Hello there. I´m trying to get the info for a 2013 Chevy Malibu that customer changed IPC, but i´m getting "Read Error" and i cant get any info with DPS.

Coulg you share the settings to use so that i could make connections and get IPC info?

I will need to change VIN on this dash so that i can run the SPS programming to the car.

Or, is it possible to read and modify info from IPC eeprom / memory manually?

Thanks

EDIT:

I was able to do connection on this. It turns out that Tatrix OpenPort 2.0 doesn´t work on this for IPC.

For reading the IPC with DPS, set the DPS diagnostic pin to:1 and the ECU ID is: 60

To program the used IPC via GM SPS service, you will need to change both the VIN and the PIN. Yes, you can manually change the VIN and PIN via the IPC EPROM chip.

More info at the links below.

I have paid for both 2 byte and 5 byte. None of them worked for me. It´s a S10 Steering wheel. Tried in 2 different vehicles.
