I'm new, still have a lot to learn. I was wondering if there was a source for the software updates for the 2020-2022 Colorado RPO: IOR outside of SPS2?

 

It has "over the air" capabilities, but I don't believe it works as my radio is still running the original software and there is at least one bulletin about having to go to the dealer. Mine is no longer under warranty so it would be pricey.

 

My eventual goal was to swap out the radio for an IOU (top level) and full color cluster (mine is monochrome) and add remote start, which if I understand correctly I'll need to put in the VIN for another vehicle to get SPS2 to generate the files for a DPS archive.

 

So the reason I'm asking for an alternative source is just so I don't have to pay for SPS2 twice.

 

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. I'm still working through as much free info as I can before I even know which tutorials I actually need.

Might someone can get files for you if you provide VIN. For rest someone can help as well. 

Can't upgrade from IOR to IOU evidently. Bunch of wiring and other modules are different too, not just the radio module.

 

I'll just get the IOR update myself through sps, it'll be cheaper that way.
