  • SDM AirBag VIN Change

    Changing the VIN in GM SMD AirBag modules is vital when recycling a used module. You can achieve this by using this DPS file.

    These files only works with GM Global-A vehicles.

    Play the video to see the process.

    sdm uses low speed can bus

    with 4 cables in the small connector, you can communicte with SDM in DPS

    9 0.5 RD/WH 4440 Battery Positive Voltage

    15 0.35 D-GN 5060 Low Speed GMLAN Serial Data

    17 0.35 PK 1139 Ignition 1 Voltage

    19 0.5 BK/WH 2751 Ground

    delete the navivelibs folder

    C:\Users\%username%\sps\nativelibs

    when you launch SPS, it downoads again.

    and try again

    bear in mind I just check wiring diagrams and there is show obd-ipc-sdm, so to communicate with sdm may require to have ipc in line. As well you can try to go in GDS2 and configure SDM from there have option for new module. Someone on Insignia this rewrite VIN

    @Arbe_gtc 2 questions..

    Can you show how you made the connections in Red and Blue circles?

    "17 0.35 PK 1139 Ignition 1 Voltage"

    When you say this connection is it a normal 12v connection?

    ignition voltage mean 12v thru switch to emulate you give on ignition with key - wake up signal. Is additional 12v to woke up module
