  • ECC-HVAC VIN change

Changing the VIN in a used ECC-HVAC Electronic Climate Control module is vital for folks who wants to recycle used secondhand GM electronic vehicle modules.

Using this custom DPS file you can achieve that.

Watch the video to see the process

ECC-HVAC VIN change for most GM 2 byte seed modules.

When I check on my car it states the HVAC doesn't store a PIN. Are you sure your HVAC store a pin?

If uses opcom (Fantomel versions), you can insert a security code.

I have 2 units of hvac module (13582900, 13505739), uses the same utility file 13505783 and have security code.

Tonighit i have been testing to change the pin, but sometimes changed and another sometimes no. im not sure why...

Hi, Im doing tests and i see this.

With opcom, when insert the security code and accept the code i have this response:

    251   [8]  07 AE 7E 80 38 37 35 35                My code 8755
    651   [8]  02 EE 7E E3 FE 03 FF FF                 >>>>>>>>>>>> 02 EE 7E means, code accepted

But if the code not acepted,

    251   [8]  07 AE 7E 80 38 37 35 35            My code 8755
    651   [8]  05 7F AE E3 FE 03 FF FF            >>>>>>>>>>>> 05 7F AE means, code not accepted

turning off on ignition, accepts the code again. OK

Using my DPS file, ALWAYS gets a 05 7F AE response when insert the code.

      can0       651   [8]  03 5A B0 99 FE 03 38 31
      can0       651   [8]  01 50 B0 99 FE 03 38 31
      can0       651   [8]  01 68 B0 99 FE 03 38 31
      can0       651   [8]  02 E2 00 99 FE 03 38 31
      can0       651   [8]  01 E5 00 99 FE 03 38 31
      can0       251   [8]  02 27 01 00 00 00 00 00
      can0       651   [8]  04 67 01 49 2B 03 38 31
      can0       251   [8]  04 27 02 B6 D4 00 00 00
      can0       651   [8]  02 67 02 49 2B 03 38 31
      can0       251   [8]  07 AE 7E 80 38 37 35 35
      can0       651   [8]  05 7F AE E3 04 06 38 31

I removed the security access, same result....

    Any idea?

There is no seat heating in my vehicle, can we activate it by simply assembling the seat heating pads and updating the software without changing the unit?

Need a custom calibration on BCM and you just change a HVAC control panel.

so, does the seat have heating pads available, just panel change and BCM update needed?
