  • How to install GDS2 deliverable

    1. Select to show hidden files and folders in Windows.
    2. Put the deliverable in the location below and remove the current deliverable. C:, ProgramData, GDS 2, PersistentData, Downloads, DataBackups
    3. Start GDS2, and go to Manage Diagnostics Packages, and click on "Browse", in the open window find the deliverable at the same location you put it in above, click on it and then click open. GDS 2 will restart, Close out of GDS 2.
    4. Go back to this location, C:, ProgramData, GDS 2, PersistentData, Downloads
    5. Go to folder "CurrentRelease" copy the file example "deliverable_Saab v2017.01.0" place it into the folder "Deliverables" and delete the file that is in there so there aren't two different ones.
    6. Restart GDS 2, and it should be up and working to diagnose.

    Were is the folder in windows 11? I don’t see persistent data

    GO to file explorer option and click on "show hidden files"

     

    normally programData folder is hidden

    then go

    C:\ProgramData\GDS 2\PersistentData\Downloads

    What does having the GDS deliverables do for me ?

    It's a database of diagnostic actions, service procedures, what live data is available for each module, etc.

    Without it GDS2 is useless - you won't be able to launch a diag session.

    Hi i have a corvette 2019 Grand Sport  and all installations is ok gds2+deliverable 2024 i put my key at on after choosing my year and car,  but i cant continue  the button continue still grey? is there a lockup in that model or what? thank you

    Yeah, you don't have a connection with your car. Either you're choosing wrong VCI from the list, or it is not seen by GDS2 at all.

    You don't have to choose year/model - GDS2 should read VIN and decodes it automatically.

    I think that the GDS2 don't see my obd2 because when i started the gds2 it not make me choose what obd2 to use

    I think its GDS2 activation isuue, please post picture to avoid confusion

    It would tell you in red letters - "NO VALID LEASE FOUND", if it was a license activation issue.. 
    If I remember correct, he would not be able to open "Diagnostics" tab without a valid lease too.

    But posting a screenshot of GDS2 main screen would help to answer some questions, for sure..

    when followed the steps from Troy, I still get to the point, where it needs to be installed. The app says it needs to restart... but after opening, there is still the status "Requires DGS2 install" although I already clicked it to install several times. I also copied the XML from "CurrentRelease" into folder "Deliverables".

    Does anybody have any idea how to proceed?

    U try to install packages not compapitable with your GDS2 release.

    OK thanks. I rolled back to those originals and those work for now.
