GO to file explorer option and click on "show hidden files"

normally programData folder is hidden

then go

C:\ProgramData\GDS 2\PersistentData\Downloads

What does having the GDS deliverables do for me ?

It's a database of diagnostic actions, service procedures, what live data is available for each module, etc.

Without it GDS2 is useless - you won't be able to launch a diag session.

Yeah, you don't have a connection with your car. Either you're choosing wrong VCI from the list, or it is not seen by GDS2 at all.

You don't have to choose year/model - GDS2 should read VIN and decodes it automatically.

Top left - press Select device button. What device you use?

I think its GDS2 activation isuue, please post picture to avoid confusion 

It would tell you in red letters - "NO VALID LEASE FOUND", if it was a license activation issue.. 
If I remember correct, he would not be able to open "Diagnostics" tab without a valid lease too.

But posting a screenshot of GDS2 main screen would help to answer some questions, for sure..

when followed the steps from Troy, I still get to the point, where it needs to be installed. The app says it needs to restart... but after opening, there is still the status "Requires DGS2 install" although I already clicked it to install several times. I also copied the XML from "CurrentRelease" into folder "Deliverables".

Does anybody have any idea how to proceed?

U try to install packages not compapitable with your GDS2 release.

OK thanks. I rolled back to those originals and those work for now. 

where is the deliverable, is it a download?

Easy solve for that you just need to have all the "RuntimeBackups" on the computer as well.

show scrrenshot of gds2 window? whatversion appear on lower left of screen,,, or try lower version of deliverables

Not sure why you are replying to me I am not having a problem!

If the OP has version 22.7.01500 installed and no other runtimebackups because he has never had the program installed before then a lot of older deliverable files will not load and will say "GDS2 Install Required".

The correct method if you want to run older versions of the deliverables is to have all the runtimebackups in the correct folder and if anyone does not know what I am talking about then I would suggest a good file browser and a little time investigating will net you a whole lot of understanding on how GDS2 actually works.

If anyone wants or need all the older runtimebacks let me know and will pack them up and upload them but the archive is quite large and really running older deliverables is a waste of time because when they release a new deliverable they keep all the older cars in it so you really only need the latest version of the deliverables. However some people like to explore all the older files but to do this means you need the older deliverables.
